مَحرم وہ ہوتا ہے جس سے کبھی بھی عورت کا نکاح نہیں ہو سکتا مثلا سگا باپ، بھائی، بیٹا وغیرہ۔مزید تفصیل سورہ نساء میں موجود ہے۔
خاوند بھی محرم میں آتا ہے۔
مُحرم احرام باندھنے والے کو کہتے ہیں۔
بخاری اور مسلم میں احادیث موجود ہیں جس سے ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ عورت بغیر مَحرم کے سفر نہیں کر سکتی۔
