اس لیکوئیڈ کو پانی میں ملا کر جب پانی آگ پر پھینکا جاتا ہے تو پانی کے ساتھ جھاگ بنتی ہے۔ فوم کا بنیادی مقصد جھاگ بنانا ہوتا ہے تاکہ آگ والی جگہ پر جہاں پر وہ جھاگ گرے تو اس جلتی ہوئی چیز کو ڈھانپ کر آکسیجن کی سپلائی روک دے جس سے آگ بجھ جائے۔
