All criteria about appointment of Governor of Province is mentioned in Article 101 of Constitution of Pakistan 1973.
Governor is appointed by President of Pakistan on the suggestion of Prime Minister.
The person should be member of National Assembly.
The person should be registered voter and resident of related province.
In absence of Governor, Speaker National Assembly performs duties of Governor.
In absence of Speaker National Assembly, any person nominated by President of Pakistan will perform duties of Governor.
