Allama Muhammad Iqbal

Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a famous poet, philosopher, and writer of the Indian subcontinent, who is remembered as the thinker of Pakistan and the poet of the East. He was born on November 9, 1877, in Sialkot. Iqbal received his early education in Sialkot, and then went to Lahore, England, and Germany for higher education. He earned a doctorate in philosophy and deeply studied the philosophies of both the East and the West.
In Iqbal’s poetry, emphasis is placed on selfhood, unity, and action. His poetry taught Muslims to regain their lost glory. Iqbal presented the concept of Pakistan, which later became the foundation for the creation of Pakistan. Some of his famous works include Bang-e-Dra, Bal-e-Jibril, and Armaghan-e-Hijaz.
Iqbal not only guided Muslims through his poetry but also through his speeches and writings. His services will always be remembered. Allama Iqbal passed away on April 21, 1938, but his message remains alive and continues to illuminate hearts for generations to come.
